Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours.
Many people are satisfied with the sparkle they get from brushing twice daily with a fluoride-containing toothpaste, cleaning between their teeth once a day and the regular cleanings at your dentist. If you decide you would like to go beyond this to make your smile look brighter, you should investigate all of your options.
How does tooth whitening work?
- A full dental examination and assessment is carried out to determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs. Any tooth or gum disease would be treated prior to the tooth whitening process.
- Impressions of your teeth are taken to create customised ‘bleaching trays’ and will be checked by your dentist to ensure the best possible fit and comfort.
- The tooth whitening process is activated by a bleaching agent inserted into the tray’s to be used in line with the treatment plan agreed.
With all whitening treatment, individual results will vary and are dependent on your initial tooth colour and the nature of your tooth staining. Top up syringes of the whitening solution are available from our reception staff should you wish to repeat the procedure for an upcoming party, wedding or other event.
